I just wanted to apologise for the lack of updates recently. In between commitments at work and at home I've not had much time to work on Daedalus over the past couple of weeks. Fortunately things are quietening down again so I should have some free time to work on the next release of the emulator this week. Rest assured I'll keep you up to date with all the new developments.

Keep up the good work and theres no need to say sorry to everyone.
Thats cool!
Good to see you back man.
I hate it when there is something to do @ work
i was beggining to worry :P
You are En-titled to a Life, man...
Your Life & Family should Come first, work Commitments are Annoying, but must be fulfilled,
then spare time should be for Hobbies, like this Emulator Project,
Keep up the Great Work, Enjoying this Emulator, very much,
I downgraded my Brothers PSP today,
& so he is now able to test your Creation Out now, Thanks Again!!!!
Glad to hear from u bro!
I will be awaiting for your release!
( O ) ( O )
cool, almost worried but i knew you would pull through. thx for the update/something.
Yeah man, thanks for updating the blog :D
Good to hear from you StrmnNrmn, this week's release sounds great
No rush, I'm happy as long as there is a next version coming some day or the current one is good enough :)
Thank god your still alive
The rumor was than sony hired a assain to take you out.
This release is great. I can actually wait, unlike the WTF t-shirt. w/e, don't rush yourself stmnnrmn, you're doing great no matter the size of the improvements.
Its good to hear from you. Let there be successful N64 programming again! I hope you keep increasing the speed. Good luck in all your endeavors!
I just stumbled onto this wonderful creation, and I have to tell you that I am both amazed and impressed with your work. Mario and Star Fox run at nearly full speed with little graphical bugs, and on a handheld device no less! Keep up the amazing work - I long for the day that I can play Zelda: OOT and Perfect Dark @ full speed, and I'm sure you'll be able to do it in no time!
Keep up the good work Strmnnrmn!!!!
Oh, I forgot to add something - there's a slight bug that occurs most severely in Zelda - the text gets garbled often (ex: The Deku Tree lasdcvn:"Pq quickly!"). In case you didn't know already (which you probably do lol),
yeah its to do with the way its rendered..
Great to hear from you Norm, all power to your elbow, mate. Really looking forward to R9, every release so far has been simply amazing.
On another note, how's your progress going on those texture fixes Wally? Will you post here if you release a revised build?
Johnnybon:
Yeah i will post another release when i start term break (next week)
Im just going to get micro machines working a bit better then release!
Seeing some games use the same mux data, they have to be entered carefully
Update: decided to look into SSB, will be doing so today
Good look Wally, you got the DKR jon to right?
DK draws right but is a bit odd
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=226494#post226494
is the place of the release
Enjoy!
BTW it goes ingame with PSPlink but not without . something strmnNrmn needs to look into
How do I get it to work wally? And Strmnnrmn you said that you are releasing it this week, can you give us the day?
"Fortunately things are quietening down again so I should have some free time to work on the next release of the emulator this week"
Mario Kart God: Where does it state in the above remark that there will be a release this week? I suggest you read it again!
Hey StrmnNrmn one quick question. Why dosnt Daedalus use Kernel Mode?
Hi all
Chaz,
I'll answer that for you, Kernal access for all PSP users is a new development, when the emulator was first released the 2.5 firmware wasn't even hacked.
At some point probably the Sound release using the Media Engine version most likely a 1.5 firmware kernal access version would have to have been released (to use the ME) however this would have alienated the 2.0+ firmware users.
With all the new exploits allowing kernal access for up to 2.71 we shouldn't have a two tier release problem.
Thanx tsurumaru, soon with the .99 eloader and dax's 2.71 homebrew lancher everyone will have Kernal and Daedalus will most likey use it. :)
Strmnnrmn, do you think you will be able to get the speed another 3-6 fps by the next release?
Oh Brother! Why don't you wait and find out what's included. I am sure we will be informed of any changes via this very blog, you wont influence the next release through suggestion.
Anything is better than nothing, and with that in mind.. I am more than happy to wait!
Wally nice work man really! The Super Smash Brothers *in game trick* still works! For any of you trying to get past the title screen with Dynarec ON just do this! Go to the title screen, wait til the tutorial screen pops up after about 10sec, then whenever hit start. When it brings you back to the title screen QUICKLY hit start, then hit start again QUICKLY for which game mode you want. This will bring you to the character selection screen if you choose 1player mode, after you select you character the game freezes but hey it's better than nothing. Maybe using this trick I can find a way to get in game. Wally I take it you have already passed on your notes to StrmnNrmn so he can enter the blendmodes for his official release?
Great work, keep it up all the way
Although, you should check out the N64 game "doubutsu no mori"... also known as Animal Crossing
It's full of slow downs and texture glitches (it's so bad that all that one can usually see is black, with a texture here and there)
(If you need the rom don't be afraid to ask)
thank you Sanik
you have helped me find the Animal Forest rom. I have been looking for this for a while but I didn't know it had another name.
morgan: Thanks for that
I havent passed anything on to strmnNrmn yet. He doesnt reply to his emails often enough so i doubt it will be in R9 :)
Sanik: I will look into this :)
thanks!
i have looked at this game..
I dont think i can do much about it for now, strmnNrmn implemented that mux which is concerned. However I have attempted to install the others and managed to get the N64 logo to show correctly.
Until i figure what is going on with the bkground, i cant do much about it.
Does Wally's Version Go any faster. Also does it help out mario 64 Graphicly or Speed wise, because mario 64 is almost perfect KEYWORD ALMOST
it only shows various graphical improvements in mario 64
Only one noticable change so far which is the lantern
I Also Would Like To know what the Heck is wrong with half of STAR. Its Black?
Whatever the case, thanks wally for taking the time to even look at the game. I really appreciate that.
Hey Strmnnrmn I can't wait for R9!!!! I know it will be awesome! Your my favorite coder! Keep up your amazing work!!!!!
WHITE POWER
thedman
Nice troll attempt.....
Whatever will we have next on this blog......

hy guys i'm skulz, and first i want to say to strmnnrmn TNX. I follow your progress since the r1 relase. Now here my question: the daedalus can speed up with something like a n64 BIOS? (just like the progress that the gpsp made).
ryanmWolfe.
Its to do with the way shadows are rendered i think.
Sanik: no problem mate!
___>>---skulz--->___: The bios is emulated however some parts are really buggy so it could cause slow downs or games not to boot
Ok Guys i would like to know if there are any games that run good and Nobody is Talking about. like games that might not be fun, but run Good if anybody has any games that they think run good then let me know please
Wally... There is no bios with the n64, boot code is in the rom?!
I thought that :P
Lol ..Hehe And me ;)
