Its a good effort, still not up to your emulator on the graphic side of things, but getting there, compatibility is fairly good, textures are a bit blocky at times and it still shunts along at 4-5 fps, a massive improvement on his last build
Hi there strmnnrmn, just a thought... I have been testing sixtyforce on a mac i-book, the old fancy coloured ones, it has a fairly low spec, 64megs of ram 300mhz powerpc processor and a 2meg graphics card, on running mario64 it was clocking 25 to 30 fps, I can send you the program, I don,t think I have the sorce code for it, It might help to have a look at it considering that it seems to be very efficient on low powered cpu's with limited ram and v-ram.
Hi there, it seems that Monkey has been hard at work, he claims to have come across a speed-up solution on his emulator to do with the texture cache :)
heyheyhey! just because monkeys takin a break doesnt mean he isnt workin on it he has other projects on hand, daedlus and monkey may be rival programmers but thats no escuse for flaming
PSmonkey is only taking a break to resume with his other project 'iris'.
PSmonkey also has a personal life if you didnt know that.
I believe both projects are coming along well.
Strmnrmn is just a few steps behind ATM as www.dosgames.com/~wally4000/M64 proves Monkey64 has a large compatibility side of things ( I am a tester for PSmonkey)
i love whats been done with this port to...because the pc one is gr8 and its good to see the name carry a good rep. on to the psp!!!....but lets be real for a moment there is a huge difference between these emulators ....so its not really FAIR to compare and wally can confirm this...strnm is porting a PC emulator....NOT WRITING ONE IN PSPSDK...psmonkeys WILL be the BEST one in the end i think even strnm would think so ....not because PSmonkey is a better coder ....because he is tackling a BIGGER challange by taking it one step further and writing a emulator for the psp in its native language instead of porting an existing one....so BOTH emulators ARE GR8 in there own respective aspects...but you can quote vetta...MONKEY 64 will be the BOMB when its done ;)

Well I hope you don't turn out to be a quitter like PSMonkey, we all knew he'd cry about it and quit.
