R10 Reception

I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all the feedback I've received on the R10 release. I'd been looking at it as quite a small update, but people seem to be very happy about the incremental speedup and new features such as frameskip and so on. I found releasing R10 within 4-5 weeks of R9 was really hard work, but I'm now convinced that releasing smaller updates more regularly is the right way to go. I'll be following this post with some details about the plans for R11.

Finally, it turns out that this blog had over 40,000 visits over Sunday/Monday, which is incredible - thanks for continuing to read :)

Sweet, First Comment!

It's good to see that R11 will attempt to resolve compatibility issues, not to mention Proper Expancion Pack Support.

Again, I hope selected games like Super Smash Bros and Golden Eye and F-ZERO will be compatible in the next release.

PEACEZ!!!

That's because it's so interesting. Even if you don't have a PSP, the tech posts are top-notch. :)

It's our pleasure, you're the only that seems to be doing this, and you're the only one that deserves our respect. ;)

Stormin Norman - I must say I am very impressed by your progress on this emulator - I also go by the name camcorderdoctor on the DCemu community psp news.I just wanted to contact you directly and say thanks for all your hard work. It appears to be paying off.Compatability for all intensive purposes is very high already - i'm excited to see expansion pack support (as is everyone else i'm sure. your emulator is becoming almost as anticipated as the dark alex custom firmwares. Incredible!!! Thanks again and please continue to keep us all posted and have a great easter holiday.

Most people like to see updates, most not caring whats "under the hood", just happy to know that theres an extra number tacked on the end of the title. I do enjoy R10 a lot, leaving Frameskip at one, or rarely 3 helps a lot. I hope most people realize maxing frameskip is not a good idea, as it makes it seem like just much more lag. Thanks for Dedlus, I was playign it all day and showing it off to myf riends ;!!!

I never used Daedalus(or any 64 emulator) until R10 came out and I'm very impressed with what you have done so far. Keep up the good work, it's greatly appreciated as I've always been a Sony owner of consoles and never owned a 64. I'm looking forward to R11 in May.

Well, thank YOU as well for all the hard work. Just today I finally (and very anxiously!) downgraded my TA-082 and was able to play a N64 game for the first time! yay!

Really, thanks compadre.
